A Kiwanis Club should replace a lost member within
three (3) weeks of a Kiwanian leaving the club.
The Club President or the Membership Chairman
appoints a ReMember Committee of 2 Club members to find a new member to
replace the lost Kiwanian.
If within three (3) weeks *this ReMember Committee
has failed to find a new member, a new ReMember Committee should be
appointed.
Progress reports of the ReMember Committee can bring humor to
a club meeting. The appointment of a new committee (if necessary) can be
done with class, humor and fines.
The ReMember Committee concept should not replace membership drives
or roundups. Neither does it replace Kiwanians inviting friends for new
membership. If Kiwanis Clubs keep up with their deletions as they go
along, regular membership drives and development will result in gains
rather than just staying even.
* After their appointment a ReMember Committee should
be given three (3) club meetings to present a new application for
membership.
