RESULTS from the House of Delegates held on Sunday, August 8, 2010
 

Dear All:

In order to expedite the information that is pertinent after having the House of Delegates Session on Sunday, August 8, 2010.

All four amendments in the House, passed.  Amendment #3 that had to do with the graduated new member enrollment fee passed as well.  The dues amendment #4, passed as AMENDED.  The amendment to the amendment simply stated, was a $10.00 dues increase this year instead of having $5.00 this year and another $5.00 for 2011-12.  (Please click here for additional information)

Just a note, we currently have 213 clubs in the Indiana District with 7762 Kiwanians in those clubs.  Each club has the privilege of sending three (3) delegates to vote in the House of Delegates.  All Past Governors, Past Lt. Governors, Current District Chairs and Current Board are voting delegates-at-large.

1031 - rough estimate of the number that could have attended and voted in the House this past weekend.

The ACTUAL number in the House of Delegates to vote this past weekend was as follows:

            Total Delegates registered were:  121

            Total number of Delegates in the House: 108

            Total number of Delegates-at-large: 41

            Total number of Delegate–at-large in the House: 41

            Total number of persons in the House: 149

Only 14% of those that could vote actually attended and voted on the amendments that were proposed for the District.
