Goshen's Model School was happy to announce that it will be getting a new playground in August of 2010. After many hours of work and much generosity from their Model families over the past seven years, as well as, a substantial push and donation by both the Goshen Noon Kiwanis Club and the Goshen Kiwanis Foundation; their children’s dream is finally becoming a reality! All of these efforts combined with a sizable discount from the equipment company, Playworld, for purchasing the entire playground at one time, will allow this gift to be built in August !
Over the next several months, the Model PTO with the help of the Noon Kiwanians; is making one final push to raise the remaining $10, 000.00 needed to complete the project and to provide seed money for continued maintenance.
The Playground Build, to be held August 6th, 7th, and 8th, will be spearheaded by several of the Kiwanians who also helped in the construction and fundraising efforts to build Tommy's Kid's Castle at Shanklin Park in Goshen several years ago! Many volunteers will be needed to see this project through to the end, but we're confident that we will succeed (once again)! Afterall, this is the Kiwanis spirit, alive and well in Goshen, Indiana
