Fundraisers
For the 2007-2008 Kiwanis Administrative Year we will be
holding a raffle for Riley. More information will be coming soon.
Tickets will be made available in early December with the drawing taking
place at the 2008 District Convention in Fort Wayne.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety
The Riley Riders and Striders Bike and Pedestrian Safety
Smart Guidebook provides statewide partners with the necessary tools and
resources to plan and conducts a bike safety course for children in the
community. A toolbox with instructions and teaching materials is

Adapted Bike
Safety Program
Riley Hospital’s
Community Education and Child Advocacy Department works individually
with local Kiwanis Clubs to help facilitate the purchase of adapted
bikes and bike helmets for children with disabilities who are patients
at Riley
Hospital
and to provide education on bike safety basics. Bike safety courses are
offered on an as-needed basis at Riley Hospital or the Department also
works with local Kiwanis clubs, Circle K clubs, Key clubs, and Builder’s
clubs to offer bike safety courses for all children, using the Riley
Riders and Striders Bike and Pedestrian Safety Smart Guidebook. Call

The Riley Water
Wise Game
The Riley Water Wise Game is a life-sized interactive game
that engages preschool children in learning critical water safety
behaviors. A toolbox with teaching materials is available for loan. For

Hoppin’ for Health
An interactive curriculum to introduce young children to
health care settings. The curriculum includes education resources and
activities about parts of the body, common medical instruments, and
medical professionals that young children are most likely to encounter.
A toolbox with medical instruments, videos, and books is available for
loan. English and Spanish is available. For more information contact

Kids are Great
A program for teachers, parents, and child care providers
with interactive activities and resources to help enhance children’s

Safety Store
Riley Hospital’s
Community Education and Child Advocacy Department, in partnership with
The Cheer Guild, manages the Safety Store at
Riley
Hospital.
The Safety Store serves Riley Hospital families, staff, and the general
public statewide with access to low-cost products and safety education
to help prevent injuries to children, the leading cause of death for
children ages 1-14 in Indiana and nationwide. For more information
about how your club can help support the work of the Safety Store,
